Party

The Movement {which is our college service} only meets in seasons coinciding with the school semesters. So on the "off" months when The Movement does not meet, we have a college fellowship at our house after Sunday night service. We all have such a great time hanging out and eating dinner together. This past Sunday we had 55 young people in our house! {thats way too many for our house to hold, in case you were wondering} After a couple people trickle on home is usually when the party really gets started. You don't want to be the one to interrupt a game of Trouble or Spades or Catch Phrase. People turn in to monsters when they get competitive. {Its awesome!} We have the best jobs!

 {a little giggle}
For my birthday a friend of ours brought me a turtle {as a joke}. So, {as a joke} we sent that nice little turtle to live with our neighbors, without their knowledge. When they found it, they sent the turtle to go live in the pond at the front of our neighborhood. So long turtle! Wrong. I came home from vacation to find a turtle in my backyard! Everyone is denying it, but I'm pretty sure I know where that turtle came from... It's not over! {by the way, I sent him back to the pond} We have some pretty awesome neighbors.

**Monday night I started running again {it has been about two weeks since I ran last} I turned on my couch to 5K app and headed out. It came to the end of my 5 minute run and I was feeling so good.... so.... I ran for 14 minutes straight! Woot Woot! I'm a little proud of myself if you cant tell.

Florida Nights

The first part of the week, Amanda's parents hung out with Hayes so we could all go out to eat. Monday night we went to Baytowne Wharf {my favorite} and ate at Graffitis.

Jonathan and I walked to the docks and along the way, were cute little tree houses.

Of course we climbed one!

Dinner at Graffitis.

At sunset in Baytowne, there is a cannon that goes off. I was told it was to let ships know its time to come back in. Our waiter had warned us but none the less, It went off and scared the mess out of us!

Picture time!

{A little laugh}
I was packing my bags when Jonathan's family was in town and Kam was helping me. {she is 4} I was putting the dress in my bag and she said:"Are you going to wear tights with that?" I asked her if I needed to and she said: "Well it aint long enough" lol.

We had a blast! But I am a {little} glad to be back at home and in the real world. We made some good memories!

Florida

THE BEACH
I could sell it all and move to a shack on the beach if I had my way! But since life doesn't work that way, Ill settle for vacationing there. Thanks to some friends and family, The Nason's and the Price's got a week of Rest and Relaxation. Amanda's family lives in Destin, so the first half of the week, they kept Hayes. We stayed in a Condo and beached it everyday!

And this is what we did for 5 days straight...

Jonathan read

Amanda read

 Seth read

Jenna..... Did NOT read. :)

 Hayes played and played. He was so sweet!

Happy as can be!

Busy Busy Busy

And we're back! Boy has it been a crazy past few weeks! Between work and work and play, there has been no time for blog. First of all let me say how thankful I am for our neighborhood. Its such an amazing feeling knowing you can walk to a pool whenever you feel like. And roll your eyes if you wish, but it is such a great ministry tool. yea right? A couple Sundays ago, Jonathan and I went swimming after church. We have been trying to meet as many neighbors as possible through dinners and walking around the block and such. While we were at the pool, a couple we haven't really made a connection with yet were there with their baby girl. We clicked. and the day before we left for vacation, they came over to our house just to say hey! Stayed for hours. Its a start.

 We headed off to Arkansas for a lake weekend with some friends and we had a blast! So beautiful!

A little tubing

Seven person pyramid (Jonathan is in there somewhere)

Senior Sunday
We got home from the lake to rise up early and make pancakes for upcoming college freshman and their families. If I don't ever see another pancake in my life... I'm alright with that! 200 pancakes. Yuck.

Brandon Day 5K
Our church put on a 5K run at Brandon Day this year. No No, I didn't run in it. But I was asked to make the awards for ones who did and placed. It was a very interesting roller coaster of emotions as they didn't turn out the way I planned, but of course, it all worked out in the end. Why do I ever doubt.

Another happy surprise... The Nason's came to town! Jane, Mike, Allen and Kam came for the weekend. One thing I hate about Brandon, Mississippi is that our family lives in Memphis, Tennessee... But we love the days we get to see them!

Busy? YES. Work has been a crazy place too. Between preparing Parent/Child Dedication, VBS and our summer wednesday night programs.. Life has been nuts. But I LOVE being so busy. {Weird} Next week we leave town for a week of Vacation!!! It couldn't come at a better time!
